E.D.E.N. Digital is our online filmmaking course for members of the LGBTQ+ community and was developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The interactive online filmmaking workshops cover storytelling techniques, sound recording and editing. Alongside group discussions, production drop-ins, feedback sessions and a 1-2-1 Zoom call for each participant on the project. The aim of the course is to empower the participants with all the tools they need to make a film using just their phone, or whatever camera they have available.
As part of the project, we also host a series of online masterclasses with experienced filmmakers. Details of these can be found on our past events.
Read our Safe Spaces policy that covers both physical and online spaces.
Read our Code of Conduct that outlines our expectations for all those who participate in our activities.

Being able to participate in this project virtually is one of the best opportunities to have come out of the pandemic, as it gave me the chance to connect with LGBTQ+ filmmakers that I would have never met otherwise! The workshops were really motivating and gave me the skills and inspiration I needed to create a film that I’m really proud of. I think the LGBTQ+ community in particular has historically been ignored or misrepresented, so I’m really grateful that a project like this exists, to equip us with the tools and the confidence to tell our own stories.
“Claire and Brett have built a very inviting and fun environment to the workshops. I haven’t experienced a filmmaking space where LGBT+ can share collaborate and discuss so freely. And in light of the current climate with Covid it has been incredibly beneficial for my wellbeing and sense of connectedness to be able to interact with my follow LGBT + people online when I haven’t been able to do that in person.
