Making a Short Film: Masterclass.
In this masterclass Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor will cover what makes a short film work, using a couple of short film examples. The masterclass will look at how to approach writing a short film, what to think about in terms of character and the practicalities around how to shoot it. It will also look at how much a short film can cost, should cost and what resources you already have access to, in order to make a short film. The masterclass will also cover where you should screen your film and how to get it out there.

Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor Biography
Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor, is a producer and writer whose recent works include the highly acclaimed Blue Story, written and directed by Andrew “Rapman” Onwubolu. In 2019, she was nominated for “Breakthrough Producer” at the BIFAs. In 2020, Joi Productions was awarded a BFI Vision Award and currently has projects in development at BFI, BBC Films and Film4.
