Upcoming Projects
We run filmmaking workshops for the LGBTQIA+ community. The workshops are taught by industry experts, provide invaluable skills and a great opportunity to meet like minded people. Attendees of our courses put their skills into practice, producing their own films and through them highlighting the topics they have chosen.
Films produced on our filmmaking projects have been screened at film festivals around the world including BFI Flare, SQIFF and Translations: Seattle Transgender Film Festival.

E.D.E.N. Digital 2025-2026
E.D.E.N. Digital, is our online filmmaking project for the LGBTQIA+ community, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
E.D.E.N. Digital launches on Tuesday 4th November 2025, 6-8pm on Zoom. This course is for members of the LGBTQIA+ community aged 18+.
The theme is ‘Embracing DIY techniques and gaining the confidence to tell your story’. The aim of this course is to empower you with all the tools and confidence that you will need to make a short film using free and low budget techniques. You’ll learn about DIY, alternative and accessible methods of filmmaking to bring your story to life.
The course will include:
*15, 2-hour interactive online filmmaking workshops, covering storytelling techniques, camera and sound recording, and editing.
* Online group discussions and feedback sessions.
* 1-2-1 Zoom call for each participant to talk to the tutors about their film.
* Create a short film that will be premiered via an online community screening.
You’ll learn everything you need to get started with filmmaking – from finding your voice and developing ideas, to the filmmaking process, camera settings, and editing. We’ll also cover DIY techniques, scriptwriting, planning, pitching, and marketing, with opportunities to get feedback on your work-in-progress. The film you create will be premiered via an online community screening next year.
The online filmmaking project will be delivered by award-winning queer, non-binary filmmaker Maddie Lock and E.D.E.N. Film Productions’ founder Claire Watkinson. All project activities are available for no cost and hosted via Zoom.
